Hooters is the trademark of two American private restaurant (restaurant with sexy waitresses) chains: Hooters of America, Incorporated (based in Atlanta) and Hooters, Incorporated (based in Clearwater). The name of the restaurant itself can be translated as "hoot" (from the English hoot - "Beep"), which in American English has several concepts: a hooting owl (hence the owl on the logo), a klaxon, and also the vulgar name of a woman's breast.
The target clientele are men, so the basis of the restaurant's image is the sex appeal of the waitresses. As a catering company, Hooters is not fast food. Although it serves hamburgers and sandwiches, the menu also includes chicken wings, a variety of salads and seafood dishes. The restaurant also has a license to sell alcoholic beverages. In addition, souvenirs and clothing are sold under the Hooters brand.
